To paint a night sky, we need only three colors. Using some specific techniques with the following four colors, we will complete the view of the night sky. These colors are:

Step 1In the very first step of painting a sky, take an ivory sheet. Adjust it on a painting board or something else. Here is your choice of what you have easily available for you. But remember one thing that to use only a plain surface. Roughness will create a mess for your project. It will also develop roughness to your painting. Now as you have taken ivory sheet and plain surface, so use masking tape. Paste it on the four sides of the painting sheet. For further guidance, you can see the given picture of step 1. It will definitely help you in understanding what exactly I am saying to you. After successfully passing this masking tape, we have completed the adjustment of the painting sheet. Now using a paintbrush, spread Prussian blue poster color to the first half of the sheet. You can see it clearly in the given picture. To the second half of the sheet spread this color using the same brush off and on. The suggested pattern is to spread only to the four corners of the second half. We need some white space to leave without color here with this painting step.
Step 2With this second step of painting a sky, you will observe a quick and nice change. Ok, it’s fine to bring change to this painting. Remember about step 1? We have left some empty white space. Now we are going to use this space. To fill out the empty white space of the ivory sheet, use cobalt blue poster color. Spread it all across space. Along with white space, also blend cobalt blue with Prussian blue color. Blend these two colors all over your paintings. Nicely blending will create smoothness and softness to painting. This softness often requires sky painting. The blending process gives a patchy and cloudy look to the sky. That makes a real sense with real painting, actually. Now we are going to use white poster color with our night sky painting. But we are not going to use it all across the sheet. Using a paintbrush, spread it only to the central area of the ivory sheet. Blend it gently and smoothly with the other two colors. The main purpose behind using this color is to develop a look of a shiny sky. And it is only possible due to the usage of blended white and blue colors. With horizontal direction, use Prussian blue color to the top, central, and bottom part of the painting sheet. Step 3Here we are going to start with step 3. With further proceeding, we will blend a Prussian blue color with other colors. To create the given look at step 3, you have to spread Prussian blue and white colors again and again. The blending process also continues with each color spread.
