Mix these colors until you get the hue you want because the colors are very important. Paint the sky with this blue tone you have prepared, so cover some of the canvas with blue paint until the middle of the canvas, but be careful that you give it a jagged shape because the clouds’ edges will be wavy.

Let’s go through all the steps one by one. From here, you should be very careful. First, we will do the dark parts of the clouds in the shade, not the bright part of the clouds. We will still mix some cobalt blue with red, but this time the red will be more intense because the blue tone we want to achieve should be close to dark blue. If you get a darker tone than you think, you can mix some white in it.
Now you can start drawing clouds with this mixture of paint where half the dark acrylic that you paint the canvas intersects with the blue sky you have painted. First, let’s make the clouds’ base by painting the whole layer leftover from the sky on the canvas in the shade between light blue and white. We finish the first layer of the clouds by passing a layer of blue mixture paint we prepared first on this layer. Let’s be careful to concentrate the color downwards to remain the open layer on the edges.
Using the same mixture, let’s go through another layer that concentrates towards the bottom and finishes off the shadow part of the clouds. Now let’s prepare a mixture using white and yellow colors and make small touches to the clouds’ light-colored edges. The reason we use yellow in this mixture is that it reflects sunlight. Here all we have to do is touch this color to the edges just like a sparkle. We will continue to do this towards the bottom of the canvas, here our goal is to give the clouds a cumulative image.
After finishing this process and determining the bright parts of the clouds, we soften the image with a thinner dry brush, and we will ensure that the white paint we use as a single color in the mold will switch with other colors. We have to touch the white parts with a clean and thin brush, but let’s be careful that the brush is dry. After finishing this process, we need to specify the parts where the clouds are the brightest more clearly with a thicker brush. Because mixing white with other colors made its tone darker. We will make the last layer and make the bright parts a little more pronounced and approach the final look.
How to draw clouds with watercolor paints?
Instead of separating the clouds with rigid, sharp edges, it would be better to work by the watercolor technique and, accordingly, paint them with little watery, flowing hues. In this way, conclusions that fit very well with nature are reached at the same time. Whether a paint applied takes the desired shape or not depends on the quality of that paper.
Assigning this and choosing the most appropriate paint to be applied is possible by working hard and gaining experience. If some need to be colored from the places left white for the cloud and the edge, we should do them as a result. If there are places that need to be shown more clearly afterward as they were painted, we wet them with a brush and paint them with blotter paper.
